A work from my MFA thesis show, exploring type and language forms. Three shower curtains silk-screened with a text whose subject shifts from first to second to third person (I, You, I have a friend who) in an attempt to describe some of the effects of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. As the voice moves away from me, the tone of the text is increasingly formal, and the letter forms change from loose and thin to compacted and thick.
