Philosophy in the bedroom is an exhibition whose fulcrum is two extravagant 18th century French beds in the collection of the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. I invited six artists (Marina Rosenfeld, Michelle Lopez, Marnie Weber, Sandeep Mukherjee, Alex Slade and Peter Schuyff) to create new works using the Lit à la Turque (1750), as subject matter, theme, or inspiration. The exhibition was part of OR’s 2000 series of shows curated by four artists from Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and the U.K.
